Screening Rubrics for Symposium Abstracts

The abstract submissions will be blind-reviewed by a panel. As a general guideline, abstracts will be evaluated according to the following criteria as stipulated in the rubrics below:

  1. Is the title of abstract and keywords relevant to the symposium?
  2. Is the abstract focused on the theme or subthemes?
  3. How well does the abstract articulate the purpose and objectives?
  4. How well does the abstract describe the study design/methodology of the research? (NA for conceptual papers)
  5. How well are the results and findings discussed in the abstract?
  6. How well does the abstract discuss conclusions and recommendations of the research?
  7. Is the take away message clear? (applicable to Posters, Tutorials and Workshop sessions)
