Under Republic Polytechnic's Centre for Professional Development(CPD), we offer Specialist Diplomas in Events, Sports and Leisure Management, Sports and Exercise Sciences and Outdoor and Adventure Learning. Specialist Diplomas are tailored for working adults so that they can upgrade their existing knowledge in the field of sports, health and leisure.

What to expect?

Part-time Wednesday evenings and Saturday(full day)
Students will be holistically assessed through understanding tests, participation and practical work.
30 contact hours for each module.
A Specialist Diploma will be awarded upon completion of all 8 modules within 2 years with a minimum C grade for each module and achieving a minimum of 80% attendance.

Modules Sports and Exercise Prescription Sports and Exercise Nutrition Sports and Exercise Psychology Anatomy and Physiology Sports and Exercise Physiology Sports Coaching Human Motor Control and Development Sports and Exercise Biomechanics Industry Practicum + Final Report

Admission Admission to the Specialist Diploma in Sports and Exercise Sciences (SD-SES) is competitive and based on merit. Applications for admission into the SD-SES are invited from the following: Individuals who hold at least a diploma and wish to further their knowledge in the Sports and Fitness Industry. RP students who are about to complete the second year of the Diploma in Sports & Leisure Management (DSLM). RP students who are about to complete the second year of the Diploma in Sports & Leisure Management (DSLM) and Diploma in Outdoor & Adventure Learning (DOAL) programmes and who are achieving good grades.
