The Diploma in Outdoor and Adventure Learning (DOAL) equips students with knowledge and skills relevant to the growing outdoor and adventure learning industry in Singapore. By adopting a multi-disciplinary, experiential approach, the programme will provide its graduates with an expertise in the area of outdoor education that extends beyond the classroom.

Candidates seeking admission into DOAL should enjoy working with youth in the outdoor environment. The course will demand from students a substantial amount of involvement in physical activity and water based experiential activities. Additionally, students should be able to show confidence in water whilst donning a personal flotation device.

RP - Diploma in Sports and Leisure Management

DOAL candidates are allowed to enroll into RP on the condition that they pass a medical examination by a certified medical general practitioner. For information on the medical conditions, please refer to the medical examination form below. The fee for the medical examination is borned by the applicant.

Candidates who do not pass the medical examination will not be accepted into the Diploma in Outdoor & Adventure Learning.

      

   Curriculum Structure
      To fulfill the requirements for the full-time diploma, students need to successfully complete a total of 30 modules.

  1) Core-General
    Ten (10) compulsory module units:

  3) Core-Discipline
    Three (3) compulsory module units

  4) Electives
    Select any 4 module units from
    the entire range of modules offered
    by Schools and Centres in RP

  2) Core-Specialization
    Six (6) specialisation module units

  5) Industry Orientation Programme (IOP)
