RP Dragon Boat Wins at PA Paddle Championship 2007

On the June 2 and 3, the RP Dragon Boat Interest Group (IG) - RP Dragons - participated in the 1st People's
Association (PA) Paddle Championship at the Bedok Reservoir. This event was organized by the People’s Association
and it comprised of both dragon boat and canoe races.
Despite having only sufficient paddlers to battle out with other powerhouse
institutes such as Junior Colleges and clubs without any substitutes, RP Dragons
went ahead and competed in every event; they raced back-to-back with little or no rest for the
entire tournament.
RP Dragons achieved impressively. They brought back a gold medal for Men's
Tertiary, and bronze medals for Men's Open and Mixed categories.
The dragons will be competing in these upcoming events such as POL-ITE dragon boat race and the much anticipated Singapore Dragon Boat Festival 2007 at the end of June 2007.
They are well prepared for these races thanks to their coach and vice-coach.
With their hard work and determination, RP Dragons will be able to make it
further!
