RP Pledges to Fair Employment Practices

Republic Polytechnic convened with fifty-eight other Ministries and Statutory Boards to sign the Employers' Pledge of Fair Employment Practices on 12 April 2007. The pledge-signing ceremony took place during the 2007 Public Sector Union and Management Gathering that focused on the theme of "Shaping Tomorrow's Workforce Today". By signing the pledge, these agencies adds to a growing list of more than 300 employers who have committed to implement fair employment practices at the workplace in the Public Service.

Republic Polytechnic was represented by our Principal/CEO, Prof. Low Teck Seng and this reflects Republic Polytechnic's commitment to uphold fair employment practices.

The pledge is an initiative by the Tripartite Alliance for Fair Employment Practices (TAFEP), launched in September last year. It advocates principles of fair employment practices which includes recruiting employees based on merit, treating employees fairly and with respect.
