Create Fiesta 2006

27 Interest Groups with 27 distinctive specializations; have them together, it CREATEs magic.

The creative and vibrant side of RP was unleashed once again during Create Fiesta 2006; the very first major production of Create.Republic.  Under Create.Republic, there are 27 Music, Dance and Culture & Literary Arts interest groups, making Create.Republic the largest student club in RP.

The Create Fiesta gathered all of them together for a common mission: Creating Passion for the Arts.

Our interest groups have been garnering accolades in various events and competitions and have unfurled RP’s flag proudly in the local arts scene. Now, they are back “home” to showcase what they have got and are ready to add colour to campus life.

Throughout the three days, a Write-Up corner was specially set up in the Agora South Atrium to introduce the mission statements and works of our various IGs to the rest of the student population. Adding on to that, an exhibition was set up to display the artistic works from Art IG, Photo IG and Write. A series of performances was also specially lined up for this event.

Despite having to juggle with public performances at external events, in-campus shows, our various IGs came together as one big Create family to showcase what we have – talent and passion. The performances were well-received and everyone came back for more.

That was not all, roving acts and free stickers were given out to the supportive audiences on all three days. Ending the Fiesta with a big bang was the Flame Awards 2006 - a night of awards, music, food and grooving fun.

Create Fiesta was marked on the calendar from 22nd to 24th November 2006 and without a doubt, it was an event to always be kept in our hearts as it was presented with Create’s best - genuine sincerity, passion and originality.

Behind the scenes of this creative event is the Create Management Committee led by advisors Ms Celine Yeo & Ms Vicky Wong.

Create.Republic is proud to see the development, achievements and contributions of its IGs and their student members, who have put in their utmost passion, heart and soul for their work.

We look forward to your continuing support towards Create.Republic and to the Arts!
