Blood Donation Drive In RP

On the 4th and 5th of October, the Red Cross Interest Group organized a Blood Donation Drive in Republic Polytechnic (RP). The 2 days saw many students and staff members coming forward to donate their blood. Many of them sported a colourful sticker which indicated that they were first-time donors. This was very encouraging as it means that more people are coming forward to partake in this meaningful activity.

Staff members like Ganesh and Yen Wah were spotted doing their part for the society as they dutifully clenched the stress balls to pump their blood into the collection bag. When interviewed, Yen Wah reveals that it was not the first time that she donated blood. This clearly indicated that there were many more generous individuals out there like her that had been donating blood on a consistent basis.

According to Yen Wah, the entire donation process was quite painless because the staff members in charge were very professional. It does not hurt much and it does not take up too much time. If you meet the health criteria and do not faint at the sight of blood, please go ahead and donate!

For those who have missed this opportunity, do not despair! This is not the first time and definitely will not be the last time a blood donation drive is held in RP.
