Entrepreneurship Conference was held on

IG Events
InVogue IG organized 2 events
recently; the first that was open to
all RP students and staff, and the
second exclusively for its members.
The first event was talk presented
by Shelly Centre of Higher Learning
to RP on how to dress appropriately
for a person’s body shape. The
second was a make-over photo shoot,
a joint collaboration between
InVogue IG and Photo IG.

CIE-Bazaar IG Events
Bazaar IG
had organized a 2-day “Vintage
of the Eighties” pushcart sales for
students to have the opportunities to
source for suitable merchandise and
be creative in pushcart decorations
to reflect the theme for the event.
Another event was organised by the IG on lunch-time talk about the facts and
myths about franchising.
The talk received overwhelming
response and more than 400 students
and staff came to learn more.

SOH-School Advisory Committee
Formed
Eleven
successful industry and academic personnel have
been invited to join our School Advisory
Committee (SAC) to render their advice and
expertise towards the operation of the School of
Hospitality (In collaboration with Raffles
Hotels & Resorts). Dr. Richard C Helfer, the
newly appointed Chairman chaired the SAC
Inaugural Meeting on 11 September 1008.

SOH-What’s Happening At Campus Heights?
The construction works for the
Raffles Hospitality Centre kicked
off on 17 September 2008. This
project, termed The Training Hotel
of SOH, has been awarded to Boon
Guan Construction Pte. Ltd. and will
take 130 days to complete. When
completed, it will house a lobby
with check-in check-out and
reception work areas, a guestroom
complete with restroom, a training
restaurant, a training kitchen and
Spa labs. Start counting the days!

parents of all their first year
students. Industry speakers Ms.
Melissa Ow of Singapore Tourism

Raffles Hotel and Mr. Jason Ng of
SCORE were invited to share with the

boot-camp style service training

This is the 2nd year running that
JIVE IG has co-organized this
event. The Yellow Ribbon Sports
Carnival is an annual sport carnival
for residents of halfway houses to
promote healthy lifestyle among the

Delta Stadium
JIVE IG was tasked with the
operations and logistics of this
qualifier event for the Hockey World
Cup in 2010. Mr. Tharman
Shanmugaratnam, Minister for Finance
and Education was the Guest-Of-Honour
invited to the finals held on 22nd
June 2008.

fun and joy to 2,000 guests at the
National Day Dinner at Canberra CC.
The event was graced by the Minister
