The School of Engineering, together with Textile and Fashion Federation (TAFF) and supported by SPRING Singapore, organised a Green Fashion Retail Logistics Seminar on 30th June 2010.
This exciting event brought together more than 170 industry participants, from
fashion designers, retailers, retail logistics providers and technology
providers to share best practices, lean approaches to cut cost, technology and green trends.
The guest of honour for the event was the Chief Executive of SPRING SINGAPORE. Prominent speakers like Ms Elim Chew from 77th Street, Wayne Tham from TTAF.tc, Guna from JDA, Dr Charu from Dystar Textile Services, Tony Teo from Addicon Logistics Management and Ms Della Ng from TAF.tc
provided valuable insights into various areas such as retail logistics, eco-textiles, lean manufacturing, technology adoption, logistics outsourcing model, technology bedding & selection, and logistics involved in visual merchandising.
Visits to our integrated supply chain lab, market research lab, exhibitions and project showcases by industry, staff and student projects
were also conducted. Many opportunities for internships and student projects, industry visits, talks and sponsorships were also discussed during this one-day event.
