RP receives the Green Office Label

We are proud to announce that RP has obtained the Green Office Label (2009-2011).
The award ceremony was held at the SPRING Singapore auditorium on 6th Nov 09 where our Senior Director (Student Services), Mr Ang Keng Loo, received the award on behalf of Republic Polytechnic (RP) from Dr Amy Khor. RP is the first educational institution to receive this award.
 Awarded under Project Eco-Office (by the Singapore Environment Council), the Green Office Label reaffirms RP as an environmentally-friendly work place that is committed to good practices that minimize wastage of energy and resources. Our Green Committee has played an important role in spearheading many programs such as the Monthly Lights Out Day and the Bring-Your-Own-Mug incentive to raise environmental awareness.
RP has also participated in nation-wide eco-events such as Earth Hour and Eco-Action Day this year. The Green Committee hope that the staff and students at the polytechnic will continue with the efforts and initiatives to do our part to protect the environment for the many generations to come.
