A/Prof. Marilyn completed her training as a radiographer in England and has practiced as a radiographer in England, New Zealand and Australia. She has obtained her PhD in education from La Trobe University. She established the original Unit of Radiography and Medical Imaging at Monash University, Australia.
Her research interests are mainly in the development of educational curricula for health professions, clinical teaching and learning, the human behavior aspect of practice including practitioner' attitudes, values and beliefs, role extension for practitioners, and the gap between published research evidence in medical imaging and the reality of practice.
A/Prof. Marilyn was awarded many prizes for teaching excellence in clinical teaching. She is also active with the professional body representing radiographers - the Australian Institute of Radiography and is a member of the Editorial Review Board. Marilyn is currently the Chair of the Medical Radiation Technologists Board of Victoria, Australia. |
