A very warm welcome to the RP micro site on further studies, specially catered for  our current students and alumni. Feel free to check back regularly for updates and announcements regarding tertiary education opportunities for Republicans.

It is never too early to make plans for your future. The sooner you do so, the more informed your decisions will eventually be. A key objective of this website is to provide you with background info on university education to aid you in your decision-making.

There are several options available to you:

a. Begin a career
b. Get a degree in a local university
c. Get a degree from a Private Education Organisation (PEO) based in Singapore
d. Get a degree overseas

Here are some key issues you may wish to explore:

a. Know what you want. If you do not know what you want to achieve, it is hard for you to decide what the next best route is.
b. Consider your interests and abilities. Re-examine your values and ask yourself, "What do I want out of life, a job, a career?"
c. Identify your abilities and assess them as objectively as possible.
d. Be realistic about what you may be able to achieve. Studying can be very costly and you need to assess your financial standing before deciding on a preferred option.
e. If you choose to work, keep your mind open about pursuing further studies at a later date. Statistics have shown that there is a significant proportion of polytechnic diploma graduates who pursue further studies within the first 5 years upon graduation.
f. If you choose to study, note that TIME is most probably your most limited resource, not MONEY. The time you spend studying should yield the most results.
g. Consult people such as your parents, friends (especially older ones who are in a stronger position to advise you) and career coaches from the Student Career Centre (SCC).
